Money and the Happiness Factor
I’m super excited today to share today’s interview. Sarah Burns, The Ohana Mama and my dear friend, sat down and Skyped with me about how she balances a crazy schedule, kids, creating a product, enjoying her life in paradise, and working for online entrepreneur Laura Roeder.
Here’s a taste of what you’re going to learn today…
- How Sarah Keeps A Positive Outlook
- Why Moving To Paradise Wasn’t So Fun At First
- The Systems Moms Must Start Applying To Every Part of Their Life
- …and Sarah reveals her ultimate white space fantasy.
I’ve even made it easy for you to find what you’re looking for…cuz Sarah and I can seriously talk for hours…especially on this topic of staying sane, balancing all aspects of life, and the fun of being a mommy. We jam about everything under the sun — including how working for our girl Laura Roeder makes us so supremely happy that we can hardly contain ourselves.

Sarah Burns rocks the work-at-home-mom scene from gorgeous Maui, Hawaii, where she handles client relations for a social media marketing company and is in the midst of bringing her her own product to market, Tag a Towel. You can catch her ‘parenting dispatches from paradise’ and her tips on exploring Maui with kids, on her blog The Ohana Mama.
Thanks so much Anne! You know I love chatting with you – I think there’s tons of awesome nuggets in there and I plan to re-listen from time to time myself as a reminder 🙂
Here’s to more white space!
Sarah – I can’t tell you enough times how much listening to this interview after the fact really energized me. Loved it! Can’t wait for more people hear your genius! Love, anne
OMG I am BEYOND flattered. I adore Sara and this was such a fantastic interview— open and transparent, casual and REAL. Thanks for sharing this‚ such an inspiration for moms trying to juggle it all… so important for everyone to hear how NORMAL all these emotions are.
Carly,
So glad you liked it. Sarah and I had a blast doing it…and what’s funny is we had to cut ourselves off…we talk about this topic REGULARLY…hmmm I see a fun podcast in our future.
I’m with you on Sarah – she’s an amazing mommy and person. Love her!
Loved this interview! I could relate to you Sarah. You are so right about knowing you have a set amount of time to do things when the kids are in school. My girls are 12 & 14 now and it gets even easier, BUT I still have to spend plenty of time with them, especially when they start wanting to be “alone” or on the computer!!!
Thanks so much for a wonderful interview Anne!
